Religion in West End

There are seven churches in West End, and all are fairly tolerant of one another, though the temples sometimes hold discussions of methods and dogma in the town squares. Church tends to be one of the uniting social events of the whole town, and everyone who can attend does so. Even the most impious citizens say an occassional prayer to help them succeed. There is a new god in the mix as well, Kinden!

Church of Kinden: The god of discovery, Kinden's portfolio includes many more elements in this world than any other. Kinden is also the god of new ideas, travel, the arts, and many other areas. While not a fickle god, he has an arrogant side and does what he thinks is best at all times. Kinden is the God of craft, cavern, discovery, divination, exploration, fate, knowledge, planning and time.

Church of the All-father: Worshipers at this temple do not choose to name their god, just calling him father or the all father. They believe him to be the male force behind the pantheon. Priests of this temple are in touch with the needs of the people. Any charitable event held is scheduled by this church. It is not important for citizens to follow this religion, it is merely important that its priests be there for the community.

Church of Ansa: This is the temple focused to the worship of the goddess Ansa. Priests of this temple are concerned with the purity of religion and the spiritual uplifting of the citizens of West End. Their Priests (called pardoners) can always be found walking about town "spreading the word", telling citizens stories of the glory of Ansa or blessing crops and buildings. Every new building erected in town is blessed by the pardoners. Baptisms are performed at births, marriages are officiated by pardoners, and burial is entirely a church affair. Ansa is the Goddess of Goddess of crafts, family, femininity, healing, plants, nature, and ocean

Church of Damia : Damia's following has waned slightly in the past years in West End. As the goddess of battle and righteousness her priests would oversee blessing newly forged weapons, and be the battle priests of any military campaigns. Damia is the Goddess of Goddess of Dwarves, honour, masculinity, metal, nobility, retribution, runes and war.

Corellan Loraithan: The Elves as a race attend the services to Corellan. Little dispute exists since he is seen as the god of the Elves, while the others are Human and Dwarven gods. Corellan is the God of God of charm, Elves, illusion, protection, trade and travel.

Kiran: The Berezin creation god. Though some citizens of West End have tried the worship of Kiran, none are granted spells or any real respect within the church. Kiran is the God of Creation, sun and strength. Revered as the God of Good.

Serad: The Berezin Luck God. Like Kiran, no non-Berezin people are given station in their worship, or granted spells. Serad is the God of Berezin God of Chaos, luck, animals, trickery and Magic. Revered as the God of Neutrality.
