This is the Original Set of Gods I presented for West End. I wanted the chance and Challenge to create a Charleton class, but it was not enough to have powerless charletons. The Charleton represents mans attempt to make even the power of Gods something human. By converting the miracles they see in churches to a human endeavor, it bridges a gap that most scientific or technology oriented games ignore. Using Arcane magic to compete with Divinity is the same as using technology to compete with magic. It goes along with the theme of self-reliance. I added a lost god in later, and it worked out well. Notice these gods are from various pantheons. This shows how this world is an amalgamation of odds and ends, making the story more important thatn religion or Gods.

Religion in West End

There are four churches in West End, and all are fairly tolerant of one another, though the temples of Ansa, Damia and the all father sometimes hold discussions of methods and dogma in the town squares. Church tends to be one of the uniting social events of the whole town, and everyone who can attend does so. Even the most impious citizens say an occassional prayer to help them succeed.

Church of the All-father: Worshipers at this temple do not choose to name their god, just calling him father or the all father. They believe him to be the male force behind the pantheon. Priests of this temple are in touch with the needs of the people. Any charitable event held is scheduled by this church. It is not important for citizens to follow this religion, it is merely important that its priests be there for the community.

Church of Ansa: This is the temple focused to the worship of the Goddess Ansa. Priests of this temple are concerned with the purity of religion and the spiritual uplifting of the citizens of West End. Their Priests (called pardoners) can always be found walking about town "spreading the word", telling citizens stories of the glory of Ansa or blessing crops and buildings. Every new building erected in town is blessed by the pardoners. Baptisms are performed at births, marriages are officiated by pardoners, and burial is entirely a church affair.

Church of Damia: Damia's following has waned slightly in the past years in West End. As the goddess of battle and righteousness her priests would oversee blessing newly forged weapons, and be the battle priests of any military campaigns.

Corellan Loraithan: The Elves as a race attend the services to corellan. Little dispute exists since he is seen as the God of the Elves, while the others are human and dwarven Gods.
